BRIEFS · PICK ONE

Tell me what you need, properly.

Five questionnaires: four kinds of work, and one for a partner bringing a client. Each one asks what a good first call would ask, in the order the answers actually matter, and each one takes about fifteen minutes. Everything is saved on your own device as you type, nothing is sent until you press the button, and what comes back is a quote with the scope written out rather than a meeting invitation.

What happens to what you write

It goes to me by email, as one document rather than a form to click through. It is not published, not resold and not fed to a model for training. If you would rather sign an NDA before writing any of it down, message me first and we will.

Questions

Which brief do I pick if the project is two things at once?

Pick the one the deadline belongs to and mention the rest in the last question, which is open on every brief. A rebrand that ends in a new website is a brand identity brief with the site named at the end. A campaign that needs a logo first is a campaign brief that says so.

Do I have to fill one in before we talk?

No. A message on WhatsApp works and always has. The brief exists because the same eight questions come up on every first call, and answering them in your own time beats answering them while somebody types.

How long until I hear back?

One working day. Usually that is a fixed fee with the scope written out. Sometimes it is two or three questions first, because some briefs are one answer short of being quotable.

Can I fill it in over two sittings?

Yes. Every answer is written to your own browser as you type, so the same link on the same device opens where you left off. Nothing leaves your computer until you press send on the last screen.
